Chris Esaki also said that due to the potential impact on safety ratings, there will be no AI drivers in multiplayer races either.

Chris Esaki said that the new game has undergone major reforms in terms of graphics functions and rendering engines, which means that it is difficult to achieve split-screen, and it will not be launched in the future.

Note: “Forza Motorsport” will land on Xbox/Steam on October 10, 2023, and join the XGP subscription for the first time.

This work is the eighth mainline game of the “Forza Motorsport” series. The development team has previously stated that this work is completely built from scratch for the next-generation Xbox Series console and will bring a new gaming experience.

According to eXputer, the new Forza Motorsport will be released on October 10th, which is also consistent with the previous news that the game was scheduled for October. The new work will be the eighth mainline game in the series, and it has been confirmed that more information will be announced at the Xbox Game Show on June 12.

First announced in 2020 for Xbox Series X|S and PC, the game debuts on Xbox Game Pass. The development team has previously stated that this work is completely built from scratch for the next-generation Xbox Series console and will bring a new gaming experience.

“Forza Motorsport” is one of the original series of racing games produced by Turn 10. This work will extensively absorb the opinions of players, and strive to bring players a more perfect racing game experience. It is reported that this work is developed with 4K resolution and 60 fps frame rate standard, and will be able to provide a more realistic and vivid game world, while providing ray tracing support.

It is found that the last work in the series, “Forza Motorsport 7”, was launched in October 2017. It is the tenth work in the “Forza Motorsport” series and landed on Windows 10 Mall and Xbox One. Due to the expiration of the authorization, the game has been removed from the shelves on September 15, 2021, and players who have purchased it can continue to play.

Forza Motorsport: Horizon 5 ushered in a new version yesterday, bringing support for Nvidia DLSS 3.0 and Reflex for PC players (Steam and Microsoft App Store).

However, there seem to be many problems after supporting DLSS 3.0. Players reported visual artifacts, afterimages, and a significant drop in fluency. Someone posted a comparison video on YouTube. It can be seen that although the display frame rate has increased, the experience after turning on DLSS 3 is more stuck than when it is turned off.

NVIDIA Reflex support, on the other hand, is no problem. This technology reduces system latency, improving player reflexes and aiming accuracy. In Forza Horizon 5, an option called “Low Latency Mode” can be found in the game settings and has three values: Off, On, and Ultra. After turning on the low-latency mode, you can see a small icon in the upper left corner of the screen, showing the system delay and rendering delay. According to NVIDIA, it can bring players a smoother and faster gaming experience.

DLSS 3 left something to be desired in yesterday’s update to Forza Horizon 5, and Reflex is a welcome addition.

Note:

DLSS technology (Deep Learning Super Sampling deep learning super sampling technology), is an NVIDIA RTX technology. Based on the Tensor Core acceleration of the GeForce RTX GPU, it can use low-resolution input (such as 1080P) to accurately predict the process of higher-resolution output (such as 4K) through deep learning and calculation, so that the game can be rendered in 1080p Higher resolution image quality, which increases the frame rate, and then uses AI and game engine data to provide the image quality of native 4K output.
