Microsoft’s Turn 10 Studios announced today more game details in the new work “Forza Motorsport 8”, and disclosed the relevant content of “Multiplayer Race”. Summary of relevant information as follows :

     1. "Forza Motorsport 8" will have a real-time, predefined real-time event mode based on real-world time.

     2. Just like real-life racing events, the multiplayer part of the game will have "public practice" and "qualifying".

     3. Thanks to the "evolution of machine learning algorithms", players will be punished or even disqualified if they engage in thousands of violations such as "deliberately colliding with opponents" and "crashing the wall".

     4. Matching in multiplayer games will take into account the driver level and previous driving safety level, that is to say, if there are multiple malicious fouls or collisions with others in the open race, the opponents with the same driving style will also be matched in subsequent games .

     5. Players can customize "weather", "track conditions", "punishment intensity" and so on when creating a private room.

     6. The game has greatly reduced the difficulty of purchasing vehicles, but it still guarantees that players will have challenges when acquiring new vehicles.

     7. A series of car upgrade systems are built into the game.

     8. The "time challenge mode" of the game will be launched when it is released, players can try to build a car they like, and try to challenge the fastest speed.

In addition, the developer also announced that “Forza Motorsport 8” will not provide modes such as “split-screen multiplayer”, “multiplayer”, and “watch AI race spectator” when it is launched.

In this regard, creative director Chris Esaki also gave reasons for doing so:

The studio has invested heavily in new graphics features and the game's rendering engine, so "split-screen is really hard to pull off". As for the lack of "spectator mode" or "AI racers" in multiplayer races, it's because it's against the studio's goals, and having a crowd of real players watching AI races is clearly not what Turn 10 Studios is after.

However, Turn 10 Studios has not yet revealed whether the above functions will be added to the game after the release of Forza Motorsport 8.

According to eXputer, the new Forza Motorsport will be released on October 10th, which is also consistent with the previous news that the game was scheduled for October. The new work will be the eighth mainline game in the series, and it has been confirmed that more information will be announced at the Xbox Game Show on June 12.

First announced in 2020 for Xbox Series X|S and PC, the game debuts on Xbox Game Pass. The development team has previously stated that this work is completely built from scratch for the next-generation Xbox Series console and will bring a new gaming experience.

The Forza series is the biggest racing project developed by the Xbox Game Studios. Over the years, the game released several instalments that were received graciously by fans and critics alike. A reboot of this famed franchise was revealed with a teaser in 2020 and is supposedly under development. Since then, there haven’t been any official announcements on the project. But a recent leak suggests that the new Forza Motorsport will also be available on Xbox One, besides the PC and Xbox Series X/S. This turned a few heads.

Forza Motorsport leaked images running on Xbox One

A Reddit user, named Zorpalweapon, shared a post titled, “Forza motorsport Xbox One”. the post contained two work-in-progress screenshots of Forza Motorsport from the Xbox One build. According to this leaker, the game will be cross-gen and it has already been played by a few content creators and the screenshots are from last July.

The account of the leaker has since been deleted, and it is pretty easy for anyone to post high-quality images on Reddit and claim them to be real. But the moderator of the r/GamingLeaksandRumours subreddit has claimed that the images are coming from a legitimate source.

So, we are in fact getting a closer look at the in-game screenshots of the new Forza Motorsport game which will probably be revealed on June 12th in the Microsoft and Bethesda Showcase.

Sadly, this is it. The images didn’t reveal much about the game. We are not even sure whether the iconic features are coming back. Also, the images are from an Xbox One build. So, we also haven’t had a glimpse of the next-gen graphics.

Although some of the Xbox fans are pretty disappointed for Forza Motorsport being revealed as a cross-gen title. Still, it’s to be noted, that the Forza Horizon 5 was also a cross-gen title but it still featured incredible visuals and the same goes for Sony’s Gran Turismo 7.

Basically, this is the best way for the studios to generate the highest revenue possible. Forza Motorsport doesn’t have an official launch date yet, but it is expected to be released later this year or in early 2023.
