Since the 2021 release of “Far Cry 6”, Ubisoft for “Far Cry 7” has not been positively announced news.

Foreign media Insider Gaming recently claimed to get the news, “Crysis 7” internally known as “Project Blackbird (Blackbird plan)”, tentatively scheduled for release in the fall of 2025. The game will be developed by Ubisoft Montreal and will move from the Dunia engine to the Snowdrop engine (the new engine is used in the Total Annihilation series, Avatar: Pandora’s Frontier, and Star Wars Outlaws).

According to sources, the next instalment in the series will be a non-linear story that centers around the player rescuing a kidnapped family member. The game’s plot is said to revolve around the kidnapping of a wealthy family by a cabal currently known as the Sons of Truth.

While specific, limited details may change depending on the game’s stage of development, players are said to be required to save the entire family within a specific time frame. The in-game timer is currently said to be 72 hours or 24 hours in reality, but the timer will be paused when the player enters the safe house.

Crysis 7’s non-linear story means that family members don’t need to be rescued in order, and the fact that some family members may be killed will have an impact on the story. While the details are still a bit vague, the media understands that the player’s goal is to defeat the Son of Truth, and in order to complete the game 100%, the player will need to safely rescue all family members.

The source also said that Crysis 7 is said to introduce a new interrogation mechanic in order to find family members. Enemies will sometimes reveal information the player wants, sometimes lie, remain silent, and even sometimes run away.

Since the release of “Far Cry 6” in 2021, the “Far Cry” series has been a bit quiet and considering that this is one of Ubisoft’s signatures, we think it will soon welcome Come to a new generation of sequels.

Accurate Uncle Party @Tom Henderson reveals that Ubisoft Toronto is working on two new Far Cry games, a single-player Far Cry 7 and a multiplayer game.

Far Cry 7 was codenamed Project Blackbird, while the multiplayer game was codenamed Project Maverick. Both projects are being developed by Ubisoft Toronto, with participation from Ubisoft Montreal, he said.

The projects are said to have originally been developed as a single game under the vision of longtime Far Cry senior producer Dan Hay but were split into two games when he left Ubisoft for Blizzard.

Both games are set in Alaska. It’s worth mentioning that back in 2015, Ubisoft asked fans if they wanted to play an extreme survival game of Far Cry in remote Alaska. He said that the tentative release date of the game is the fall of 2025, but this time is more optimistic, and there is a high probability that there will be an extension.
