At CES 2022, the ASUS Zenbook 17 Fold, the world’s first 17.3-inch foldable OLED laptop with a screen supplied by BOE, was unveiled for the first time.

The ASUS Zenbook 17 Fold features a large 17.3-inch 4:3 2.5K touchscreen that folds in the middle to create two 12.5-inch 3:2 1920×1280 displays. The display is also TÜV Rheinland Eye Care certified, supports 100% DCI-P3 color gamut and has Dolby Vision HDR certification. Users can use it with the ASUS ErgoSense Bluetooth keyboard and touchpad for a regular typing experience.

As for the configuration, the laptop is powered by the latest 12th generation Intel Core U-series processors and has two Thunderbolt 4 ports on the body with a 75 Wh battery. In addition, the Zenbook 17 Fold features a Dolby Atmos four-speaker Harman Kardon certified sound system, a high-definition infrared camera, support for Windows Hello, a new Intel visual sensing controller chip to support user presence detection and other features.

According to foreign media reports, the model priced at 3,699 euros is equipped with an i7-1250U processor, 16GB of RAM and a 1TB SSD.

As the first folding screen notebook, Zenbook 17 Fold is equipped with a 17.3-inch OLED folding screen from BOE. This screen uses BOE’s new generation of self-emitting technology, which can enhance the color accuracy of low grayscale while significantly improving the screen image quality.

In addition, this screen has also passed the TüV Rheinland eye protection certification and supports 100% DCI-P3 color gamut and Dolby Vision HDR certification.

As a notebook screen, this 17.3-inch flexible screen is also capable of being folded in the middle to give users two 12.5-inch 1080p screens in addition to being used unfolded.

Elsewhere, the Zenbook 17 Fold features an Intel 12th generation i7 processor, a Dolby Atmos and Harman Kardon certified four-speaker audio system, Windows Hello support, and a built-in 5MP camera that supports ASUS’ 3D noise reduction technology.
