CTL manufacturers are accepting reservations for two models of Chromebox CBX3, which are positioned as mini desktop computers, support WiFi 6E, Bluetooth 5.3 and multiple I/O ports, and are pre-installed to run the Google ChromeOS system.

The entry-level CTL Chromebox CBX3 features a 5-core, 6-thread Intel Celeron 7305 processor based on the 12th Gen Intel Alder Lake architecture; the Chromebox CBX3-7 is the first announced 13th Gen Intel Core i7 processor (i7 -1355U) ChromeOS devices are also more expensive.

Both computers measure 5.85 inches by 5.83 inches by 1.62 inches and have a set of ports including:

 2 x HDMI 2.0

 1 x USB Type-C (with DisplayPort Alt Mode)

 4 x USB 3.0 Type-A

 1 x RJ45 Ethernet

 1 x 3.5mm audio

 1 microSD card slot

Both computers will get automatic software updates from Google until at least June 2030.

The entry-level CTL Chromebox CBX3 model is pre-priced at $309, while the Intel Core i7 version is pre-priced at $849.

Processor differences aside, the entry-level model comes with 4GB of RAM and 256GB of PCIe NVMe storage, while the pricier i7 model will come with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage and ship this summer.

The Celeron and Core i7 versions of the Chromebox also have two SODIMM slots, so both allow users to upgrade DDR4-3200 memory and NVMe SSD storage, CTL said.

The CTL manufacturer has launched a Chromebook security laptop with a completely transparent underside from which you can directly see the motherboard.

For the special “Secure” version of the CTL Chromebook PX11E, the motherboard, including the cooling system, battery and memory, can be seen without opening the body. It looks very new.

In terms of technology, CTL has adopted the standard Chromebook hardware configuration, including an Intel Celeron N4500 chip, 4GB of RAM, 32GB of storage and an 11.6-inch touchscreen with a resolution of 1366 x 768 pixels.

The Chromebook laptop features 2W stereo speakers, a 720p webcam, Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.2. There is a USB-A port and a 3.5mm headphone jack in addition to two USB-C ports, and charging can be done via USB-C.

The special transparent version of the CTL Chromebook PX11E notebook will cost $255 (currently about RMB 1,752) and will be delivered starting in summer 2023.
