OmniVision released the OH02B image sensor, which is the first repeatable image sensor of OmniVision that can be used in gastroenterology, respiratory, gynecology, ENT, urology, orthopedics and surgery. Square 2 megapixel (1500×1500) CMOS image sensor for use and single-use endoscopes.

According to reports, the OH02B image sensor adopts the latest PureCel Plus-S wafer stacking technology of OmniVision Group. In addition, this product adopts CameraCubeChip packaging technology with lens module OCH2B, with a small size of 2.5×2.5mm package and high image quality, suitable for single-use endoscope design.

OCH2B uses OmniVision’s proprietary AntLinx technology, which realizes a 4-core thin cable transmission connection scheme up to 4 meters from the endoscope camera to the image processing host, which is not easily affected by noise or electromagnetic interference, And the electromagnetic conduction is extremely low. AntLinx provides excellent video transmission quality and reduces interface conversion requirements, which is more suitable for endoscope products with long-term transmission requirements.

OmniVision has passed ISO13485 certification, and medical products have passed EMC and EMI tests, which helps simplify the FDA approval process for medical device manufacturers. The OCH2B also has a biocompatibility and water resistance test report and can be autoclaved without tuning or calibration.
