Jan. 3 – The 2023 International Consumer Electronics Show (CES) kicks off this week. While CES is long gone from the consumer electronics show it once was, CES still represents many aspects of new technology and is the starting point for many new technology companies. Artificial intelligence, automotive technology and robotics will be the highlights of this year’s show.

In 2023, the entire technology industry is still shrouded in a lot of haze, but this year’s CES still has a lot to watch. First, CES has become the premier showcase for automotive technology. Market research firm Tirias Research expects new product and information announcements from major players in infotainment, advanced driver assistance systems, autonomous driving systems and new electric vehicle platforms. Technology companies such as Ambarella, Mobileye, Nvidia, and Qualcomm, as well as auto parts suppliers such as Bosch, Volkswagen, and Magna International, will all attend this exhibition to showcase the latest automotive technologies. In fact, almost half of the press conferences at CES will be about cars and mobility technology.

Another highlight at this year’s CES will be heavy machinery. John Deere has become a regular at the show. John Deere is now a technology company, as CEO John May has said in many ways. The company has been selling self-driving tractors for about 20 years and is now adding artificial intelligence technology to the equipment. The entire auto industry can learn a lot from heavy equipment companies like John Deere. Last year, Bobcat introduced its all-electric T7X compact track loader at the show. Hyundai Heavy Industries Group will also release relevant information at this year’s exhibition. Given HHI’s investments in artificial intelligence, robotics, electric vehicles, and even hydrogen-powered vehicles, it might be interesting to post content. Another heavy machinery supplier, Caterpillar, will follow in John Deere’s footsteps at this year’s CES.

With the rapid popularization of artificial intelligence and robot technology, there will be more and more industrial automation elements at the exhibition, involving all aspects of products from production robots, and material management robots to agricultural technology. Hygiene and medical will also be another important part of the show, with products on display including operating room equipment, home equipment and health monitoring equipment.

Startups are also indispensable protagonists at the CES show. With the continuous advancement of artificial intelligence, the Internet of things, robotics and sensing technology, new products are being developed in an endless stream. There’s bound to be a whole host of redesigned PCs, TVs, monitors, Wi-Fi routers, microphones, audio systems, headsets, drones, 3D printers, AR and VR gear, and more. AMD CEO Su Zifeng will deliver a keynote speech at the opening ceremony of this exhibition, so it is worth looking forward to what new products AMD will release in the field of personal computers.

Since most mobile phone manufacturers will launch new products around the Mobile World Congress held at the end of February this year, there may not be much new news about the new generation of smartphones at this CES show. There may still be some cellular-related announcements at the show, though.
