Strange linkage appeared between Activision’s “Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 & Theater of Operations” linkage to Blizzard’s “Diablo 4”, in the game to add the “Lilith” character pack.

From the official introduction video, we can see that the “Lilith” character pack has weapon blueprints, vehicle skins, and even Lilith’s execution moves, a combination of gunfighting + magic, which many netizens feel is quite out of place.

This character pack is now in the “Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2” and “Call of Duty: Warzone” online, and players can bring the content of the bundle into the new “Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3” to use.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 will be released on November 10 on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X / S platforms, is a direct sequel to “Modern Warfare 2”, the standard version of the national region priced at RMB 446, pre-order any version to participate in the public trial on October 13, Beijing time, but also a week in advance to play! Activision’s FPS masterpiece Call of Duty series has been launched for 20 consecutive years. The official today released a 20th-anniversary promotional video, which includes a mix of famous scenes from previous works and videos of anchors/players playing.

Activision said: From unforgettable memories on immersive battlefields to real-world friends and late-night gaming, this is what Call of Duty has strived to maintain for 20 years.

Activision has already planned the Call of Duty game in the next few years. In an interview with GamesBeat, Activision president Rob Kostich discussed the first 20 years of Call of Duty and where the series is heading in the future.

Call of Duty has been released annually for the past two decades, using many different settings. Call of Duty originally focused on World War II, but it really became top-tier with the launch of the Modern Warfare series. In addition, the “Black Ops” series is set in the Cold War era and the near future, while “Infinite Warfare” is set in the distant future.

Kostich said Activision has learned from every game in the series that games generally hit a sweet spot regardless of setting.

We’ve been in the planning stages, the long-term planning stage,” he said. “Now, we have plans for the Call of Duty franchise through 2027.”

“I think the most important thing is balance, and we feel like we actually need to provide a good differentiated experience that allows people to engage and feel like they’re experiencing something new,” Kostich said. “For us, the weapon is Call of Duty. It’s a very important part of the game. You also have to think about what the narrative allows you to do no matter what time period you’re in.”

Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile is a handheld version of the battle royale game jointly developed by Activision (Activision)’s Shanghai, Beenox, Digital Legends and Solid State studio, the game was originally slated for release on iOS and Android this year, but has now been delayed until next spring.

It is noted that the Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile was officially announced in September last year, and began a small launch in the Australian region in November last year, before being released in other countries such as Chile, Norway and Sweden this year. According to Activision, 45 million players have pre-registered for the Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile.

Activision announced on Thursday that in addition to the game’s Verdansk map, Rebirth Island will make its debut on the Mobile platform when the game releases globally. In addition to the flagship 120-player Battle Royale mode, the Mobile version of Call of Duty: Warzone will also offer multiplayer modes such as Domination and Team Deathmatch, which are designed to give players more ways to upgrade their weapons.

Activision said, “From significantly improved picture quality, to reduced installation space, to refined customization options, and the integration of an authentic multiplayer experience that includes maps like Shipment and Shoot House to complement Battle Royale, Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile is an all-encompassing Call of Duty experience that promises to redefine Battle Royale.”

It’s a very important part of the game. You also have to think about what the narrative allows you to do no matter what time period you’re in.”

Rob Kostich also said: “The challenge is that when you get into World War II or earlier, when you try to maintain some kind of realistic tone, there is less flexibility, which is important for Call of Duty. By the way, our fans very strongly define what Call of Duty is and is not.”

Rob Kostich revealed that all of Activision’s core studios contribute to Call of Duty, with around 3,000 developers currently working on the series.

Activision will reveal the latest details about the new “Call of Duty” game during a live broadcast at 9:00 a.m. Pacific time on October 5, showing the gameplay of “Modern Warfare 3” Multiplayer modes and more.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 is set to release on November 10, 2023, and is the direct sequel to last year’s Modern Warfare 2. Development of the game is led by Sledgehammer in partnership with Infinity Ward, while Treyarch is responsible for its Zombies mode.

The 2024 Call of Duty game will reportedly be a new Black Ops game set during the Gulf War, with development being led by Treyarch.

Xbox head Spencer previously claimed that after Microsoft acquired Activision Blizzard, the “Call of Duty” game “will not immediately join Xbox Game Pass.”

However, Xbox blogger IdleSloth84 posted today that when a player purchased “Call of Duty: Black Ops 2” in the game store, the page showed “You can get this product for free through a game subscription! Continue to purchase and you can use it permanently!” words.

Many players believe that Microsoft has begun to modify the game introduction, which means that Microsoft is expected to add “Call of Duty” to Game Pass “immediately” after the acquisition is completed.

According to previous FTC court documents, Microsoft cannot bring “Call of Duty” to the Xbox Game Pass service before 2025, so when will Microsoft launch the “Call of Duty” series of games on related services? , is still a question.

The British CMA regulatory agency has preliminarily approved Microsoft Activision Blizzard’s “modified plan” (to sell cloud gaming rights to EA). If all goes well, the relevant transaction will be completed before October 18.
