On the occasion of the 15th anniversary of the release of “Battlefield 1943”, “Battlefield Bad Company” and “Battlefield Bad Company 2”, EA and DICE announced that they will be removed from the major malls on April 28. It will not be possible to purchase again after that. In addition, the online service of these games will also be suspended on December 8th.

“While these games hold a special place in our hearts, we now look forward to creating new memories with you as we shift our focus to current and future Battlefield experiences.”

Of these, Battlefield 1943 is an online game, but several other games can still be played using their offline features, such as the single-player campaign mode.

In fact, EA has shut down the online service of a large number of games in the past six months, including “Mirror’s Edge” in January. Today’s announcement originally included “Mirror’s Edge”, but EA later issued a post to clarify that it was a mistake. It seems that this game is not far from being offline.
