Azera has officially announced that the first Azera exchange station in the Netherlands went live in Tilburg on December 1. The first vehicles have already been delivered in the Netherlands, and with the first exchange station officially online, Dutch users will have a convenient power exchange experience.

The first exchange station in the Netherlands is located at the Van der Valk Hotel in Tilburg, next to the A58 freeway, making it easy for customers to travel between the two cities of Tilburg and Breda. According to the head of Azure Energy Netherlands, in addition to home charging, public charging and high-speed fast charging, customers can also choose an efficient power exchange service.

Currently, Azure customers can already travel conveniently between Düsseldorf, Stuttgart and Munich to various snow and ice sports via the exchange stations. With the launch of the exchange stations, in the future, users will also be able to replace larger capacity battery packs during long holiday trips, flexibly choosing the right battery capacity for their travel needs, expanding their travel radius and experiencing greater tram range.

On January 19, Europe’s first Azure exchange station went live in Norway, followed by Germany and Sweden. Tilburg is the starting point of the Dutch domestic exchange network, and the Netherlands will continue to bring new exchange stations online as part of the European exchange network in the future.

In October this year, Azera hosted NIO Berlin 2022 at the Vimpdur Hall in Berlin, Germany to bring Azera products and the complete operating system to Europe. Azera has already conducted user face-to-face and ET7 delivery and test drive events in Germany, Netherlands, Denmark and Sweden.

Azera recently announced that it delivered 14,178 vehicles in November 2022, up 30.3% year-over-year; the deliveries included 8,003 high-end smart electric SUVs, including 4,897 ES7s, and 6,175 high-end smart electric sedans, including 3,207 ET7s and 2,968 ET5s.

Azera delivered 106,671 vehicles year-to-date in 2022, an increase of 31.8% year-over-year; cumulative deliveries as of November 30, 2022 reached 273,741 vehicles.

According to Electric-Vehicles.com, Azera will enter the U.S. market in 2025 and deploy its first exchange station in that market as soon as November this year.

Sources close to the situation said Azera plans to deploy a switching station in San Jose in November. The purpose is for testing. Currently, Azera ES8 models are the first to enter San Jose for road testing, but they are not NAD-enabled.

The report also says that Azera is already preparing for the U.S. market, having posted job openings in their U.S. showroom last month. Azera already has R&D centers in the U.S., with a more than 187,000-square-foot (17,400 square meters) autonomous driving center in San Jose, the heart of Silicon Valley. Earlier this year, Azera leased a new 211,500 square foot building to support R&D, testing, assembly and operations through 2032.

The report also mentions that Azera CEO Li Bin visited the U.S. headquarters, where the self-driving R&D center is located, on Saturday local time, and that images shared by employees show Li Bin’s visit.

For this reason Finance.com Auto contacted the person in charge of Azera, who said, “After entering the Norwegian market, Azera’s products and full system services will officially land in Germany, the Netherlands, Sweden and Denmark in 2022; and in 2025, it will enter more than 25 countries and regions.”

In fact, at NIO Day 2021, Azera officially said that it plans to enter more than 25 countries and regions by 2025, including the United States, Australia, France and Japan.

The last two years with the rise of the Internet of everything, many car companies and cell phone manufacturers are crossing over each other, for example, Geely holding company has acquired Meizu, and plans to launch Geely cell phone. Today, a blogger broke the news that the founder of Azure, Li Bin, talked about the Azure phone in a live broadcast.

The blogger, @dehalogenlovedriving, said that Li Bin met with users in Fuzhou today, and in an interview with them, Li Bin said that things are moving forward with the Azera phone, but that Azera is certainly no match for the company that now sells 100 million phones. Li Bin said that although it is not difficult to build a phone at the moment, it is still a challenge to build a phone that works well. What Azera wants to do is simple: build a phone that works well for Azera users, and develop a phone just like Apple every year.

In addition, the blogger claimed that Li Bin was not aware of being live at the time, and although Li Bin knew and said he didn’t care, the live streaming party shut down the broadcast.

It is worth mentioning that Li Bin said in March this year that the Azure phone was in the research stage, and also said at that time that “it is easy to make a phone, but it is very challenging to make a good phone”.

Li Bin said in April that the phone is the most important device for Azera users to connect to the vehicle. Since Apple is closed to the automotive industry and does not open interfaces like UWB, it makes Azera very passive. And due to Huawei’s suppression, the market share of iPhone has further increased. To ensure user benefits and experience, Azera will study cell phones and car-centric smart terminal devices well.
