Apple pushed out the macOS 13.2 RC update (internal version number: 22D49) to Mac computer users, 42 days after the last release.

Apple macOS

Users can download the Beta version by installing the description file, etc., and get the new system version through the software update mechanism in the system settings.

The macOS Ventura 13.2 update introduces support for Apple ID security keys, allowing users to authenticate their identity using physical hardware rather than digital device codes. Security keys provide additional protection for Apple IDs, replacing the current authentication code provided on secondary devices when signing in to a new device, logging into iCloud, using the Apple Store, and more. Apple’s full release notes for the update are below.

This update introduces a security key for Apple ID and includes additional enhancements and bug fixes for the Mac.

  • Security Key for Apple ID allows users to enhance the security of their accounts by requiring a physical security key to sign in
  • Fixes an issue where some drawing strokes created with Apple Pencil or your finger in the Infinity Notes app may not appear on the Shareboard
  • Fixed an issue where VoiceOver may stop providing audio feedback when typing
  • Some features may not be available in all regions or on all Apple devices. For more information about the security content of this update, please visit: https://support.apple.com/kb/HT201222
