]]> In March of this year, AMD officially released the Zen3 architecture-based Raider Thread Ripper PRO 5000WX series, but Lenovo workstations exclusively debuted until the end of June when AMD announced that it was open to more OEM/SI manufacturers and would be pushed to the retail market by the end of the year. As it turns out, AMD didn’t make us wait that long. Today, the new generation of rippers is available alone!

There are five models in the Thread Ripper PRO 5000WX series, with retail listings for the high-end three models, which are

  • 5995WX: 64 cores, 128 threads, $6,499, or about $43,900
  • 5975WX: 32 cores, 64 threads, $3,299, or $22,300
  • 5965WX: 24 cores and 48 threads, $2399, about 16,200 yuan

Compared to the previous generation 64-core 3995WX $5490, 32-core 3975WX $2750, respectively, 18.4%, 20.0% more expensive.

The price of the national line has not yet been announced, if this rate of increase, 5995WX and 5975WX are expected to be about 47,000 yuan and 24,000 yuan respectively.

On Jingdong, there are already third-party vendors putting up shelves with the 5995WX, 5975WX, and 5965WX going for 55,000 yuan, 27,000 yuan, and 19,000 yuan, respectively.

As for the 16-core 5955WX and 12-core 5945WX, because the specifications are closer to the consumer-grade Raider 9 5950X/5900X, they will not be sold alone and remain for the whole machine only.

In terms of specifications, the core frequency benchmarks of 5995WX, 5975WX and 5965W are 2.7GHz, 3.6GHz and 3.8GHz respectively, all 100MHz higher than the previous generation, with the highest acceleration frequency unified at 4.5GHz, 200-300MHz higher than the previous generation, and the thermal design power consumption all maintained at 280W. maximum 32MB L2 cache, maximum 256MB tertiary cache The maximum L2 cache is 32MB, and the maximum level 3 cache is 256MB.

The package interface is still sRWX8 (LGA4094), which continues to be paired with WRX80 motherboard, ASUS, Gigabyte, etc.

The memory all support eight channels DDR4-3200, while all provide 128 PCIe 4.0 channels.

AMD also confirmed that there will be no more non-PRO versions of the ripper in the future, and the use of a unified interface, chipset motherboard, designed to unify and simplify the product line, to facilitate consumer choice.

However, AMD did not disclose the Zen4 threaded ripper planning.
