AMD officially released a new generation of AMD Zen4 sharp dragon processors, the first four models: R9 7950X, R9 7900X, R7 7700X, R5 7600X. now sharp dragon 5 7600X, sharp dragon 7 7700X has come to our review room, the following to bring you a picture appreciation.

The sharp dragon 5 7600X is the sharp dragon 7000 first model in the lowest specifications, frequency 4.7-5.3GHz, a three-level cache of 38MB, and thermal design power consumption of 105W.

And the sharp dragon 7 7700X is based on the new TSMC 5nm process, using a new generation of AM5 slot (changed to LGA installation method), the base frequency of 4.5GHz, accelerated frequency of 5.4GHz, with 8 cores and 16 threads, L2 cache 8MB, L3 cache 32MB, TDP set to 105W.

Compared with its predecessor, the Dragon 7 5700X, the Dragon 7 7700X not only ushered in a process upgrade, the frequency has also increased significantly, and the L2 cache has also been doubled.

AMD’s Ryzen 7 7700X, an 8-core Zen 4 CPU has been spotted on the Anandtech forums, further confirming the existence of the upcoming chip. This is our first look at a retail version of AMD’s Ryzen 7000 desktop CPU with the OPN code “100-000000591”. The Ryzen 7700X is expected to launch at a lower price point than the Ryzen 7 5800X, which retailed for $449 when it launched nearly two years ago.

While the primary source of the image remains unclear, it could be a sample used for review purposes, as those samples were only recently sent out, and the motherboard paired with it should be the X670E or X670 solution, as the B650(E) series won’t launch until October.

As the pictures show, the AMD Ryzen 7700X Zen 4 Raphael desktop CPU is square (45x45mm) while paired with a very bulky integrated heatsink or IHS. the IHS, internally thought of as an “octopus”, is a very interesting design that features full soldering, so considering all the capacitors around it, trying to take it apart might be It’s a bit difficult. For this chip, AMD may use a single Zen 4 CCD and IOD chip, as it only offers 8 cores, while the Ryzen 9 product has two Zen 4 CCDs.

AMD Ryzen 7 7700X is an 8-core and 16-thread part. AMD is positioning it as a sweet spot for gamers with a CPU that has a base clock of 4.5GHz and a boost clock of 5.4GHz but a TDP of 105W (142W PPT). The CPU will get a 40MB cache pool that includes 32MB L3 from the monolithic CCD and 8MB L2 from the Zen 4 cores.

An interesting thing to mention now is that so far AMD has not updated the Ryzen 7800X chip. It is quite possible that AMD wants to replace it with a successor to the Ryzen 7 5800X3D with Zen 4 cores (3D V-Cache). If so, we can expect an update to the CPU lineup later this year, as V-Cache parts have been confirmed by AMD itself for a late Q4 2022 launch. Also, just looking at the market segment, the Ryzen 7 700X seems to be priced very appropriately in the mainstream market.

AMD Ryzen 7000 desktop CPUs will be unveiled on August 29 and are scheduled for release in September, but the specific retail release is said to face a slight delay until September 27 due to BIOS-related issues.
