Attached is the AMD Adrenalin Edition technical preview graphics driver 23.30.01.02 version update content as follows:

AFMF can be globally enabled for any DirectX 11 and 12 game using HYPR-RX or the AMD Fluid Motion Toggle.

Because AFMF may introduce additional latency into the game, AFMF may not provide the best experience in fast-paced competitive games. Players can disable AFMF in individual game settings.

AFMF may introduce additional latency in games and is recommended to be used in conjunction with AMD Radeon Anti-Lag / Anti-Lag+ for the best experience.

The AFMF Technology Preview currently requires the game to run in full-screen mode with VSYNC disabled. For the best experience, it is recommended to use AFMF on AMD FreeSync monitors.

AFMF has an activity monitor similar to AMD Radeon Super Resolution, and frame generation status can be confirmed using AMD Software: Adrenalin Edition's in-game overlay (use the default hotkey Alt-R for full-screen overlay, or Alt-Z for sidebar overlay )

AFMF works on 1080P monitors with a minimum of 55FPS, and 70 FPS 1440P and higher resolution monitors are recommended.

AFMF adds frame generation technology to improve FPS outside of the game engine. To view the resulting FPS, use the AMD Software Performance Metrics Overlay, third-party performance monitoring tools are not currently supported.

AFMF is a frame generator similar to NVIDIA’s DLSS3 image sampling technology used to increase FPS. Unlike DLSS3, which is only available for RTX 40 series graphics cards, AMD recently released a new Adrenalin Edition preview driver that enables AMD Fluid Motion Frames (AFMF) frame generation technology support for RX 6000 series graphics cards.

Chip giant AMD has revealed that the long-promised “Halo: Infinite” will finally support ray tracing.

In today’s AMD conference livestream, AMD revealed that ray tracing for Halo Infinite is in development and will be available to PC players at the start of the game’s third season in March of next year.

Back in 2020, Microsoft promised that the latest version of its competitive shooter, Halo: Infinite, would feature ray tracing, but it hasn’t been able to deliver on that promise. Ray tracing is a technique for creating physics-based lighting that can add vibrancy and realism to game scenes.

In the livestream, AMD showed off its ray tracing technology for Halo: Infinite, which provides ray-traced shadows for large-scale team fights and arena modes, and the game features an enhanced performance on the RDNA 3 GPU of AMD’s new graphics card, the Radeon RX 7000. Better shadows and lighting effects.

The new ray tracing feature is said to be coming to Halo Infinite Season 3, which is expected to launch sometime next year. The next major Halo Infinite update, dubbed the Winter Update, will bring a slew of improvements, including the long-awaited Forge mode.

Microsoft’s “Horizon 5” also announced that ray tracing is also on the way.

AMD senior vice president and director of the graphics business unit Scott Heckleman revealed at the Radeon RX 7000 conference that FSR 3 is coming.

The engine is capable of leveraging AMD Unified Compute Engine technology and delivers outstanding ray tracing and rasterization performance with RDNA GPUs.

In the Unreal Engine 5 demo released by AMD, the Radeon RX 7000 GPU reached 60 frames per second under FSR 2.0, but with FSR 3.0 it can be directly improved to 112 frames per second. According to AMD, this new upgrade technology can increase its graphics performance by 2 times.

FSR 3.0 supports Fluid Motion Frame technology, a term coined by AMD, though the company doesn’t elaborate on what exactly that means. It does sound interesting though.

AMD confirmed that the technology will be available next year, but did not disclose any specific dates.

Additionally, AMD will be making major updates to its graphics drivers, such as a technology called Hyper-RX.

The HYPER-RX is said to deliver “one-click performance and latency improvements.” AMD claims that in games like Dying Light 2, it can improve performance by 85% while reducing latency to 1/3 the original, which sounds like a competitor to NVIDIA Reflex and DLSS technology.

According to AMD, HYPER-RX will be released in the first half of 2023.

The NVIDIA RTX 40 series has been released, can the AMD RX 7000 series be far behind? 3D artist Technetium has created a few beautiful multi-angle renders of the RX 7900 XT (tentative name) based on the official disclosures, and they look pretty cool.

Official Images

While the RX 7000 series will continue the overall design style of the last two generations, but in a more subdued, almost pure black tone, Technetium has added a die of red at the top and a bright strip of lights above and below the central one of the three fans on the front.

Unlike the RTX 40 series which uses the new PCIe 5.0 16-pin auxiliary power supply, the RX 7000 will still be a traditional PCIe power supply with up to three possible 8-pin connectors and a total power supply capacity of 450W.

In addition, this may be AMD’s thickest graphics card ever, visually at least 3 slots or even 3.5 slots – the RTX 4090 FE male card has 3.5 slots.

Even so, AMD has long claimed that the RDNA3 has superb energy efficiency, compared to the already excellent RDNA2 again improved by 50%.

The RX 7900 XT will be based on the multi-chip package Navi 31 core, with 12,288 stream processors, with up to 24GB GDDR6 memory.

PS: Technetium has produced many similar renderings, graphics cards, motherboards, boxes and whatnot are very good at it.
