According to TechPowerUp, MSI has now prepared the latest BIOS version “AGESA COMBO PI-1.0.0.4” for X670 and B650 motherboards, which supports the newly released Ryzen 7000 65W processor.

MSI offers 3 unique features to help users overclock the newly launched processors, namely Performance Switch, PBO Thermal Point and Config TDP.

Earlier this year, MSI introduced a new feature in MSI BIOS called Performance Switch, which provides 3 levels of presets and advanced options for users to choose from, combined with AMD’s default PBO “Precision Boost Overdrive” and MSI’s OC settings to deliver higher CPU performance in both single and multi-core.

PBO Thermal Point has multiple built-in PBO Thermal profiles, such as settings of 85°C, 75°C, and 65°C. With these profile settings, the CPU will run at a lower voltage, allowing your PC to generate less heat and run cooler.

The Config TDP feature provides several presets with different TDP settings in the BIOS, making it easy to set up for users who are not familiar with CPU overclocking.

AMD today announced the Ryzen 7000 65W processor, available in R5 to R9 models, with up to 12 cores and 24 threads at up to 5.4GHz.

  • R9 7900: 12 cores, 24 threads, up to 5.4GHz, 65W TDP
  • R7 7700: 8 cores, 16 threads, up to 5.3GHz, 65W TDP
  • R5 7600: 6 cores, 12 threads, up to 5.1GHz, 65W TDP
