In CS: GO, a competitive first-person shooter team game developed by Valve, players can collect and trade skins for a variety of guns and knives, some of which are so rare and expensive that they are considered collector’s items. With the imminent arrival of CS: GO2, the CS: GO skin market has been skyrocketing, with investors and collectors willing to pay increasingly higher prices for the rarest and most desirable items.

Recently, a large transaction took place in the CS: GO skins market. Foreign CS: GO player “zipelCS” tweeted that he had completed the second largest deal in CSGO history, selling the AK-47 661 ST MW with 4 holographic Titan prints and the worn 387 Hardened Claw Blade for $500,000 (currently about RMB 3.435 million). Sold.

Both skins are the sapphire colour of the Case Hardened series, the version with the bluest patterns. This pattern is very rare and has only a small chance of being available in the game. Also, both skins are good-quality StatTrak versions that keep track of the user’s kills.

In addition to the value of the skin itself, there’s another important factor that makes it so valuable: the stickers. On the AK-47, four Titan holographic stickers from the 2014 Katowice tournament were attached. These stickers are the most expensive stickers in CS: GO, worth about $60,000 each. They come from a defunct French team and are highly sought after because of their scarcity and historical significance.

The deal was brokered by a Danish CS: GO player and trader zipeL, who announced the news on Twitter with a photo of the two skins, whose new owner is a Chinese collector. The Chinese collector is also said to have other CS: GO skins worth a lot of money, such as a Souvenir (souvenir) AWP Dragon Lore (Dragon Lore), worth over $100,000.

zipeL said this is the second-largest deal he has ever completed, and the second-largest in CS: GO history. The first big deal happened last year when a Chinese collector paid $1.5 million for a Karambit Sapphire All-New Edition.
