Acer has upgraded its Nitro 16 / Nitro 17 mid-range gaming laptops at CES 2023. Both laptops are equipped with Intel’s 13th generation CPU and Nvidia RTX 40 series GPU.

Unlike Acer’s Predator Helios 16 and 18 laptops, which were aimed at high-end gamers, the new Acer Nitro 16 and Nitro 17 are aimed at more casual gamers. Acer says the Nitro 16 / Nitro 17 mid-range gaming laptops will launch in May this year with a starting price of $1199.99, but no official details on the specifications were released.

Although no detailed specifications have been officially announced, tech media Androidheadlines speculates that the two laptops will be equipped with Intel’s 13th generation Core i5 or Core i7 models with up to 16GB of RAM, but can be upgraded to 32GB using two soDIMM modules.

There will be a difference in screen size between the two. the Nitro 17 should be a 17.3-inch IPS panel with both FHD and QHD options and a refresh rate of 165Hz or 144Hz. the 16-inch model, on the other hand, will have a 16-inch IPS panel with WUXGA and WQXGA resolution options, both with 165Hz refresh rates.
