Synology today launched the new DiskStation 124 and 224+ NAS cloud storage, which are now available on the official website.
DS224+
The dimensions of DS224+ are about 165x108x232.2mm, and the weight is about 1.3Kg. In terms of hardware, it is equipped with Intel Celeron J4125 processor, 2 GB DDR4 non-ECC memory, and supports up to 6GB memory (2 GB + 4 GB); 2 hard drives can be accommodated inside the fuselage, and hot swap is supported.

According to the official introduction, compared with the previous generation model, DS224+ can index files in Synology Drive 52% faster and Synology Photos image index 28% faster, which can better run high-load applications.
The Synology DiskStation Manager (DSM) operating system powered by DS224+ uses the advanced Btrfs file system, which protects data from corruption and undoes accidental or malicious changes by using snapshot technology.
In terms of connection, DS224 + comes with 2 USB-A ports, 2 wired network ports and a security lock hole.


DS124
The dimensions of DS124 are about 166x71x224mm, and the weight is about 0.7Kg. In terms of hardware, it is equipped with a Realtek RTD1619B processor and 1 GB DDR4 non-ECC memory; the inside of the fuselage can accommodate 1 hard disk and supports the Btrfs system.

In terms of connection, the NAS body comes with 1 Gigabit wired network port and 2 USB-A ports.
