Synology DSM 7.2 Beta Released: Docker Renamed DiskManager

Synology DSM 7.2 Beta has been released, and this update focuses on performance and efficiency.

Update points:

  • The following models have new support for M.2 NVMe storage: DS1522+, DS1621+, DS1821+, DS1621xs+.
  • Docker has been renamed Container Manager and the UI has been upgraded to make it easier to update and clean up containers.
  • DiskManager (Docker) now supports Docker Compose for one-click deployment of containers via configuration files.
  • DiskManager (Docker) support is added for the following models: DS420j, DS223, DS423.
  • Synology Photos added support for WebP format images.

DSM 7.2 Beta is now available for download on Synology’s website. Please note that this version is currently in public beta, please do not use it on devices with important data or in production environments, and it cannot be downgraded after upgrade.
