Every time Apple iteratively upgrades the iPhone, it will enhance the camera system, and the upcoming iPhone 15 is no exception. The foreign technology media MacRumors report, here is a summary of the camera specifications of the four models as follows:
iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus:
- Main camera: 48-megapixel sensor, f/1.6 aperture
- Ultra-wide-angle lens: 12-megapixel sensor, f/2.4 aperture
The main camera of the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus has been upgraded from 12 million to 48 million, providing richer details.
The two iPhone 15 series are not expected to use the Sony IMX-803 image sensor on the iPhone 14 Pro , but other enhanced Sony sensors.
There is evidence that Apple is testing two different configurations for the standard iPhone 15 model, one of which uses the rumoured stacked camera sensor system and the other does not. It’s unclear if the stacked sensor system will be available on the retail version. If you use a stacked sensor system, you can optimize the shutter speed and improve the shooting experience in low-light environments.
iPhone 15 Pro:

Compared with the previous generation, the iPhone 15 Pro camera specifications mainly improve the telephoto and ultra-wide-angle lenses, improving image quality and more details.
The main camera still retains the same Sony IMX-803 sensor as the iPhone 14 Pro. However, there are currently contradictions in relevant revelations. It is reported that the main camera will be upgraded to an IMX-903 sensor, but it cannot be confirmed at present.
iPhone 15 Pro Max:

- Telephoto camera: 12.7-megapixel, f/2.8 aperture, periscope
- Ultra-wide-angle lens: 13.4MP, f/2.2 aperture
The telephoto lens of the iPhone 15 Pro Max will be equipped with a new periscope lens, which is expected to significantly improve the zoom function. The iPhone 14 Pro Max is limited to 3x zoom, but the iPhone 15 Pro Max is expected to have 5x to 10x zoom.
