Steam tests DLC Discovery Center feature to help players find new content available in the game

According to Steam official news, today Steam Labs’ new experiment is a store hub designed to help players find new content available in games they’re already playing.

The official statement: “You may have missed or forgotten about the exciting new additions to your favorite games, and this hub exists to help you explore what else is playable and try to find more of those awesome games. Brilliant. Whether it’s individual character skins, content packs, new game modes, or large expansion packs, there’s probably something here that interests you.”

The entire page is personalized around the player, filtered by games in the player library, so you need to log in to Steam to use it. Here are a few key points from this experiment:

The most popular DLC for your game

  • The very top section focuses on highlighting the hottest DLC for games in your library. It could be a game you played yesterday, or it could be a game you played years ago, but the curated content is all current hot products.

The main section of the page lists the games you’ve played recently, and you can also view them by your most played games. Either way, we’ll show you what’s available for each game that isn’t in your library.

Recently played

  • Puts your most recently played games on top.

Play the most

  • Ranks your most played games from the past few years at the top. Once all of these games are displayed, it will begin to display the games you have played the most over the past time period.

Are you interested in other ways to explore available DLC for your existing game? Please provide feedback and let us know.
