Steam Deck officials announced that another major milestone has been reached, with the platform now boasting 5,000 tested and verified, confirmed playable games.
Steam Deck is different from other recent consoles in that while Steam has a huge library of games, it’s really a unique product in that it’s neither a Windows nor an Android platform, but a Linux-based SteamOS platform.
So, the huge number of PC games on Steam cannot be confirmed to run 100%, and now Valve is trying to get as many games as possible to run.
These 5000 games are not all playable games, there are still many games that have not been tested and certified, but in fact there are still many works in the Steam library that can run well on Linux and Steam Deck, Valve just hasn’t found them yet.
