Spotify will acquire Sonantic to deliver a more interactive audio experience

The music streaming giant Spotify is taking steps to purchase AI voice company Sonantic. Details on this purchase such as the acquisition price are not available on the internet. But the companies involved in this will work together to better the sound delivery and quality while streaming.

Spotify believes in the ability of the Sonantic AI voice text-to-speech but intends to utilize this ability differently. This acquisition is simply Spotify’s quest to achieve better audio quality on its platform. Gaining access to Sonantic’s arsenal of experience and skills will give the streaming platform what it needs to create a high-quality audio experience.

Spotify to acquire Sonantic

But why pick Sonantic to improve audio quality on the world’s largest streaming platform? Simply because the Sonantic enterprise makes use of an in-house AI voice technology in converting text to speech. This conversion “creates compelling, nuanced, and stunning realistic voices”. Implementing such technology on Spotify will keep everyday users more engaged in the interactive experience between them and the platform.

The streaming company believes that there is a lot of room on its platform for the growth of Sonantic’s AI voice technology. Both parties seem optimistic about this acquisition and have high hopes that it’ll bring a more interactive experience to the streaming platform. In the coming months, we will see upgrades to Spotify that’d introduced Sonantic’s AI voice capabilities.
