Speeder Flying Motorcycle on pre-order costs 2.45 million: Can fly 4500 meters high

Have you ever imagined being like Iron Man, wearing armor and able to fly in the sky at will? Or like the people in “Star Wars”, driving a flying machine to fly wherever you want. Now, these imaginations have become reality. One after another, there are flying motorcycles, flying cars, and flying backpacks being produced and developed. Human beings have always dreamed of flying, and it has become more and more apparent.

The Speeder weighs about 136 kg and can carry twice as much weight as the motorcycle itself, with a maximum load of about 270 kg, and can seat two people. This flying motorcycle is not simply a low-altitude flight but can fly to 15,000 feet, about 4,572 meters high. Such a high height, not really the average person will dare to sit up.

The Speeder is still relatively easy to operate and highly automated. The user straddles the motorcycle, sits on it in a near plank position, holds the control handle with both hands, and drives.

In the middle of the two control levers in the hands, there is a large 12-inch screen with a built-in two-way aviation radio system that will display navigation, altitude, speed, fuel, battery, safety status and other information to guide the pilot in flight at all times.

The speeder has already started to accept reservations and will be officially launched in 2023. Divided into civilian and military two, the civilian price of $ 380,000, about 2.46 million yuan, the military price has not been announced.

On the back of the flying backpack, the second to become Iron Man

We have seen flying backpacks in many movies and TV shows, and there are many groups studying flying backpacks in real life. Jetpack Aviation, a jetpack airline, launched a wingless jetpack years ago and flew around the Statue of Liberty for the first time.

The advantage of the flying backpack is a small size, lightweight, can be applied to many transport can not reach the place, in some rescue scenarios play a role, there have been rescue workers in the search and rescue process used. The next foggy day would have taken about an hour to summit a mountain, with a flying machine a few minutes up, improving the speed of rescue.

Current flight tools still have many problems to solve

The first is the range problem. The civilian version of the flying motorcycle mentioned at the beginning has a range of 15 minutes, and the military version has a range of 30 minutes, which is not as long as DJI’s drones. You have to hurry back to recharge and refuel after flying up to the sky for a turn. If you don’t have the range, the functionality of the flying motorcycle will be limited and the scenario will be very narrow.

Secondly, there are the attendant problems of air pollution and noise pollution. The power of flying motorcycles and flying backpacks is certainly very large in order to bring people to the sky, so the consumption of fuel will also be a lot.

At the same time, the noise that accompanies the flight is also very loud, which can have an impact on the user or others. Finally after the large volume is put into use, new traffic rules will also need to be reformulated to prevent large-scale air accidents.

Although there are many problems, but overall it seems that transportation has been gradually from land transportation to air and land transportation development, perhaps in a dozen or decades we will be able to drive a flying car in the air for a ride.
