SpaceX announced that the Falcon Heavy rocket’s next launch mission will be on Wednesday local time (July 26) in Florida NASA Kennedy Space Center (KSC) 39A launch site.
The mission will be the seventh launch of the Falcon Heavy rocket, which consists of SpaceX’s three first-stage boosters, with the upper stage and payload on top of the center booster, and all three first-stage boosters are reusable. So far, Falcon Heavy has had six successful launches, including two in 2023.
SpaceX says that if all goes according to plan, both boosters will return to Earth about eight minutes after liftoff, landing at the Cape Canaveral Space Force Station next door to KSC.
In other words, due to the weight of the satellite is too large, the central booster will not be recovered during this launch mission.
The relevant information and found that the weight of the EchoStar Jupiter 3 communications satellite reached 10.1 tons, which is the heaviest payload ever launched into geostationary orbit (35,700 km) by mankind.
