According to official news from Sony, the new CineAlta movie camera will be released on September 12.
According to previous reports, Sony launched its flagship digital cinema camera CineAltaV 2 in 2021 – a full-frame 8K and 6K cinema camera.
Sony said that CineAltaV 2 adds more outstanding features based on the previous generation, including a compact body design, support for X-OCN in-camera recording, 16-stop latitude that can present rich highlight levels, pure shadows, and natural skin tone etc. In addition, CineAltaV2 is equipped with a newly developed full-frame 8.6K image sensor and the widely praised 6K image sensor used in CineAltaV (foreign name: VENICE). Additionally, CineAltaV2 inherits CineAltaV’s great features such as color science, dual native ISO, and 8-stop built-in ND filter.
