It is suspected that the Sony Xperia 5 IV has passed the FCC certification. According to the certification document, it measures 155.74mm in height and 67.1mm in width, which is more compact than the Xperia 5 III launched last year (157mm and 68mm respectively). The schematic shows a screen diagonal length of 153.5mm (about 6.04 inches), while the Xperia 5 III features a 6.1-inch screen.
In addition, the Xperia 5 IV will come with a USB-C connector for charging and data transfer as well as a 3.5mm headphone jack. These listings also confirm NFC connectivity and wireless charging – something that was not available in the three previous Xperia 5 models. The Sony Xperia 5 IV will also get Wi-Fi 6 connectivity and support for RFID smart cards, which are widely used in Japan. That’s all the information we have so far, but we should expect more details to emerge in the coming weeks.
