Sony is pitching the Xperia 10 IV as the lightest known 5G smartphone that uses a 5000mAh battery. There are a couple of changes and adjustments when compared to its predecessor. The 10 IV is shorter and slimmer than the 10 III from last year. Both devices have similar designs that shout Sony’s praise! As a smartphone manufacturing company, Sony chose and stuck to a design that retains the top and bottom bezels while keeping it stylish and a bit up-to-date. Major upgrades on the Sony Xperia 10 IV occur under the hood, such as a new processor, and a bigger battery.

Sony Xperia 10 IV specs and features

Sony Xperia 10 IV

The 10 IV isn’t a flagship device, it exists in the midrange device category. Most devices that are in this category often aim to target flagships, hence drawing buyers’ attention away from more expensive rival devices. But, Sony did well to keep a low profile with the 10 IV, a simple design, and good specs.

  • Screen: 6.0 inches OLED with an 82.0% screen-to-body ratio.
  • Processor: Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 5G.
  • Storage: 6GB/128GB.
  • Main Camera: Triple setup with a 12MP wide camera, 8MP telephoto, and an 8MP ultrawide.
  • Front Camera: 8MP front-facing camera.
  • Battery: 5000mAh battery with 30W fast charge.
  • Operating System: Android 12.
  • Biometrics: Side-mounted fingerprint sensor.

Quite basic specs, if compared with devices in its price point, the Xperia 10 IV doesn’t pack so many features. We can though be such of its camera ability since it’ll use Sony’s photography sensors. Picture quality from this device will be able to compete with other devices out there. For someone looking for a simple yet elegant device, the 10 IV is a solid option.

Sony Xperia 10 IV price and availability

This is a midrange device, so its pricing is not aggressive as the Xperia 1 IV that launched with it. Currently, the new mid-range device from Sony is on presale and will retail for 4,118 yuan (~€499). The actual sale will kick off in the month of June.
