In addition, the leak also called “Xperia 5 Series, R.I.P 2024”, implying that Sony will not launch the Xperia 5 series of phones this year.
According to the newly exposed Sony Xperia 1 VI phone case, it can be inferred that the Xperia 1 VI is wider than the previous generation model, which is consistent with rumors that Sony plans to switch to a 19.5:9 body size this year. In terms of camera design and side buttons, nothing has changed.
What is strange is that it was reported that the Sony Xperia 5 VI phone will be canceled, and now the phone case of this model has been exposed. Judging from the pictures, the Xperia 5 VI maintains the dual-camera design, and the camera shutter button has been changed. It is not yet clear whether the position is changed or the button is completely eliminated.
It was previously reported that Sony’s previous generation Xperia 1 V was released in May 2023, priced from 8,999 RMB. The rear lens of the Sony Xperia 5 V has been changed from the previous generation’s three-camera lens to a dual-camera lens, which is a 12-megapixel 16mm lens (1/2.5 inch, F2.2, viewing angle 124°) and a 48-megapixel 24mm lens (1/ 1.35 inches, F1.9, viewing angle 84°), 2x zoom to 48mm.
