Sony officials have said that Project Q is a dedicated device that will launch later this year, and gamers will be able to remotely play any compatible game installed on their PS5 console via Wi-Fi. Sony describes the device as having an 8-inch LCD screen with a resolution of up to 1080p and a frame rate of up to 60fps.
According to wccftech, if the Project Q does run on Android and not a customized OS like the PS Vita, geeks will likely find a way to enable streaming of GeForce NOW, Shadow, Boosteroid, Amazon Luna, and Xbox Cloud apps like GeForce NOW, Shadow, Boosteroid, Amazon Luna and Xbox Cloud. This also means that Project Q will be able to be used as a viable alternative to devices like the Logitech G Gloud or Abxylute.
However, as previously reported, there is news that the Project Q has only 3-4 hours of battery life, and may not be able to compete with other gaming handhelds such as the Steam Deck, which has 12 hours of battery life, and the Logitech G Cloud, which has 7 hours.
