Sony announced tonight that PlayStation VR2 will be launched on February 22, 2023, and will be available for pre-order from November 15.
PlayStation VR2 has a suggested retail price of $549.99 (about RMB4004) / HK$4580 (about $4246). The PlayStation VR2 Sense controller charging cradle has a suggested retail price of HK$398 (about $369).
PlayStation VR2 Sense technology is described as delivering an unprecedented gaming experience with headset feedback, eye-tracking, 3D audio, and adaptive trigger and haptic feedback for the PS VR2 Sense controller, among other key features.
In addition, with enhanced head-mounted controller tracking and high-fidelity visuals in 4000 x 2040 HDR video format (2000 x 2040 for one eye). The unit is designed to be thinner and lighter this time around, and officials have also constructed an integrated vent to provide additional airflow and configured the lens adjustment knob for greater freedom of customization.
PlayStation says it’s exciting to see game developers actively using the PS VR2 headset’s capabilities to design next-gen VR games. More than 20 games are expected to be available when PS VR2 launches in February.
