New rumours have it that the coming Sony PlayStation 5 redesign will come with a detachable disc drive. This drive will connect to the console via a USB-C port. So, gamers will be able to play both via disc and digitally on just one console.

This new redesign will be a merger between the digital and disc consoles to create a hybrid. Once available, this edition of the Sony PlayStation 5 will do away with the other two consoles by simply playing the role of each perfectly. We know that this is an upgrade that most PlayStation lovers will welcome with arms opened wide.
