Sony on its YouTube channel shared a video pointing to a coming launch event that will take place on May 11. The Sony “mark” series came into the limelight in 2019 and ever since then the company has been taking bold steps in terms of innovation. Each smartphone product launch ushered in innovations in camera, audio and so much more. What new feature should we expect the Xperia 1 IV (possible name) to come with?
This launch event might see the launch of three devices from Sony. There is no information as to the specs of this device at the time, but we have seen some renders and leaks about this device. The expected device will be the Xperia 1 IV, Xperia 5 IV, and Xperia 10 IV.
From renders of the Sony Xperia 1 IV, we can see a very similar design to last year’s model. From the video uploaded to Sony’s YouTube channel, we also spotted a display design similar to previous models. Sony is ensuring it maintains its unique design language by retaining the top and bottom bezels while making them smaller and more stylish. The screen size on the Xperia 1 IV will likely be a 6.5” display with a familiar body build but flatter edges.
The processor to be used on the Xperia 1 IV is the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1, storage capacity is not yet confirmed. Sony has managed to keep the details of these devices to the barest minimum. More information regarding the specs and price of these devices will be revealed on or before the launch date.
