Sony Japan’s official website today announced that from February 1, 2023, will modify the manufacturer’s factory price for a part of the products sold in Japan.

Sony said that due to the recent external environment, high raw material costs, manufacturing and logistics costs, etc., the following revision of shipping prices is carried out, with an average increase of 14%. At the same time, set the manufacturer’s suggested retail price of products, the implementation of the proposed retail price revisions.

The products affected include.

"Sony Bravia TV, Blu-ray Disc Recorder, Blu-ray Disc Player / DVD Player, Bar Speaker, Home Theater System, Component Audio, Video Projector, Digital Single Lens Camera, Digital Single Lens Camera Alpha [E-mount] Lens, Digital Camcorder, Digital Camera, Professional Camcorder, Radio, CD Radio, Radio, Active Speaker, Neck Speaker, Portable Audio Player, IC Recorder, Voice Recorder, Headphone, Recording Media, etc."

The announcement is currently only released on Sony’s Japanese website, and it is unclear whether it will be extended to the global market.
