Sony is being sued by users in the United States collectively, PS5 playing and crashing

0

Sony has recently launched a class action lawsuit against a group of users in the United States for a defect in the PS5, accusing Sony of intentionally concealing the existence of a defect in the PS5 console.

Christina Trejo, an Illinois resident, filed the lawsuit against the company. In a class-action filing, she alleges that Sony deliberately concealed a serious bug that caused the PS5 console system to suddenly crash during gameplay, resulting in the loss of archives.

The plaintiff’s lawsuit therefore seeks to have Sony pay damages as punishment for its alleged inaction.

So far, the problem doesn’t seem to have affected too many PS5 users, but this isn’t the only class action Sony has faced since the PS5 was released. The “drift” problem.

Although the drift problem is very common and industry concern, but whether Sony deliberately hide this may lead to PS5 frequent crashes bug remains to be seen. If the lawsuit is legitimate, then this is another pretty serious issue for Sony.

We will see how this case will develop and whether Sony will be in trouble with public opinion for deliberately hiding this particular flaw.
