According to sonyalpharumors, Sony Japan released a preview of a “special event” that will be held in Yokohama from November 8th to 9th.
sonyalpharumors said that Sony’s warm-up confirmed previous rumours that Sony will hold a product launch event on November 8. Here are the new products Sony may release:
- Sony 300mm F2.8 GM (99% probability)
- Sony A9III camera with a new sensor (70% probability)
- Sony A1 firmware update (70% chance)
Previous news said that the Sony A9III will be equipped with a 24-megapixel CMOS, support a maximum continuous shooting speed of 30 frames/s, and the autofocus system is the same as the Alpha 1. It supports 6K 60-frame 12-bit raw video shooting and also supports 4K 60 under 6K oversampling. 10bit 422 frame shooting and 4K 100/120 frame shooting in S35 mode.
Sony released the A9 II camera in 2019, which uses an Exmor RS CMOS stacked full-frame image sensor with approximately 24.2 million effective pixels and supports silent continuous shooting without a black screen at a speed of approximately 20 frames per second. It can continuously shoot 361 JPEG pictures or 239 compressed RAW pictures. The initial price is RMB 34,999.
