Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 processor soon to launch

Qualcomm is prepping itself for its coming launch event, the event should showcase the Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 processor. Previously leaked information about the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1+ processor gave a quick glimpse of its specifications and abilities. We also know a few smartphone manufacturing companies that are in line to use the 8 Gen 1+ as well, but in this article, we will focus on information regarding the lower tier Qualcomm processor.

Digital Chat Station has given away some information regarding the Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 processor specifications. This processor will tend to the needs of budget flagship devices. We also are aware one of the devices in the OPPO Reno 8 series is in line to make use of this processor.

Snapdragon 7 Gen 1

In terms of specifications, the Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 processor will support UFS 3.1 and LPDDR5 fast storage. This should accommodate a memory capacity of over 16GB of RAM and up to 512GB of storage or more. This processor will come with Qualcomm’s FastConnect 6900 (bringing a Wi-Fi 6E connection speed), and a built-in Snapdragon X62 modem. 

One of the three devices in the OPPO Reno 8 line-up will make use of this processor, it’d most likely be the Reno 8 Pro. The series will be the first to use this processor from Qualcomm’s lab, and they’ll launch on May 23. Pricing and specification details will be made available in the coming days.
