SK On Hungary’s new electric vehicle battery factory has begun installation

According to foreign media reports, SK On, which was spun off from SK Innovation’s battery business, is an important global supplier of electric vehicle batteries, and they are also building electric vehicle battery factories in several places around the world against the backdrop of the continuous increase in demand for electric vehicles and the growing demand for batteries.

SK On is building battery factories, including the one in Ivancsa, Hungary, which will be their third electric vehicle battery factory in Europe, with two planned.

And to the latest reports from foreign media, the first of the two electric car battery factories SK On is building in Ivancsa, Hungary is already starting to install equipment.

In the report, the foreign media disclosed that the equipment needed for SK On’s Hungarian factory is supplied by about 20 manufacturers’ factories, including Yunsung F&C, PNT, Woonwon, Mplus, etc. These equipment suppliers, also supply equipment for SK On’s other factories.

In the report, the foreign media also mentioned that the first SK On Hungary Ivancsa plant, which is undergoing equipment installation, has 12 production lines, with a planned annual capacity of 30GWh, enough to assemble about 4.3 million electric vehicles, and Ford and Volkswagen are expected to be their main customers for this plant.
