Sigma today officially announced the new 60-600mm F4.5-6.3 DG DN OS | Sports lens, which supports 10x zoom, and has E / L mount version.
The SIGMA 60-600mm F4.5-6.3 DG DN OS | Sports is a high-performance super-telephoto zoom lens for full-frame mirrorless cameras with a unique 10x zoom range, officials said. The latest optical design delivers high-quality optical performance across the entire zoom range, allowing it to capture any scene in high definition, even at 10x zoom. The newly developed HLA “High-Speed Linear Motor” provides Sigma’s phenomenally fast and accurate autofocus. In addition, Sigma’s new stabilization algorithm with “OS2” enables stabilization performance up to level 7 at wide viewing angles and level 6 at long viewing angles. It is also equipped with a double zoom mechanism, and dust and splash-proof structure.
The lens is described as having a closest focusing distance of 45cm at the wide end and a maximum magnification of 1:2.4 when shooting at 200mm focal lengths, allowing users to use it for telephoto macro photography and increasing the overall versatility of the lens. Sigma’s new optical design uses a variety of high-quality materials such as FLD and SLD lenses to effectively correct for chromatic aberrations that tend to occur in the ultra-telephoto range.
The Sigma website learned that SIGMA 60-600mm F4.5-6.3 DG DN OS | Sports lens is priced at $ 1999 (about RMB 13533) and will be available for purchase on February 17.
