Sigma announced release of the 14mm F1.4 DG DN | Art lens on June 8

Sigma officially announced that it will release its new product 14mm F1.4 DG DN | Art lens at the “SIGMA STAGE ONLINE” event on June 8.

▲ Picture source Sigma News Channel

It is said that this is the world’s first 14mm F1.4 lens, which achieves an F1.4 aperture at an ultra-wide angle, so it is quite suitable for Starry Sky and starfield photography, but at the cost of weight of 1.17 kg (the E-mount version is 1.16 kg), compared to Sony’s “FE 14mm f1.8 GM” lens, it is half as long and more than twice as heavy. Therefore, it requires huge muscles to use this lens to shoot passionately.

At present, Sigma has not released the MTF data chart of this lens, and it is expected that the chart will be provided when the lens is released. The detailed data of the lens:

Lens construction: 19 elements in 15 groups (FLD 3 elements, SLD 1 element, aspheric lens 4 elements)

 The closest shooting distance: 30cm

 Maximum magnification: 1:11.9

Number of aperture blades: 11 (circular aperture)

 Dimensions: 101.4 x 149.9mm (151.9mm for E-mount version)

 Weight: 1170g (E-mount version 1160g)

Corresponds to TS-141 tripod mount, compatible with rear filter holder.
