Sigma yesterday officially announced that the new 70-200mm F2.8 DG DN OS | Sports lens will be released in December 2023, with L-mount and E-mount options available. Now, Sigma France’s official website accidentally leaked some parameter information about this lens.
As shown in the picture above, this lens adopts a design of 20 elements in 15 groups (3 aspherical, 6 FLD, 2SLD), 205 mm long, maximum diameter 90.6mm, E-mount weight is 1335 grams, L-mount version is 1345 grams, filter size 77mm.
Sigma officially stated that the 70-200mm F2.8 DG DN OS | Sports is a large aperture zoom lens suitable for full-frame mirrorless cameras. In addition to the imaging performance brought by the latest optical design, this lens provides a high level of performance and functionality to meet the professional needs of both stills and video shooting. The lens uses HLA “high-speed linear motor” to provide high-speed and precise autofocus, is equipped with a new optical image stabilization algorithm “OS2”, and has the consistent all-weather protection performance of the SIGMA Sports series.
Currently, Sigma has not announced the national price of this lens.
