RISC-V chip manufacturer SiFive announced the launch of two new products, namely SiFive Performance P870 CPU and SiFive Intelligence X390 NPU processor.
According to reports, the P870 processor is suitable for high-performance consumer applications or used in conjunction with vector processors in data centers. The P870 is a six-wide out-of-order core that delivers 50% better peak single-thread performance (specINT2k6) than previous generation SiFive Performance Series processors meets RVA23 requirements, and offers shared cluster cache to support clusters up to 32 cores.
In addition, the P870 is fully compatible with Google’s platform requirements for Android on RISC-V. P870 also offers other proven SiFive features:
128b VLEN length RISC-V vector (RVV)
Vector encryption and hypervisor extensions
IOMMU and Advanced Interrupt Architecture (AIA)
Non-inclusive third-level cache
Proven RISC-V WorldGuard security designSiFive Intelligence X390 adopts a single-core configuration, double the vector length and dual vector ALU, which improves the vector operation performance by 4 times and the sustained data bandwidth by 4 times compared with the X280. With SiFive Vector Coprocessor Interface Extensions (VCIX), users can add their own vector instructions and/or accelerate hardware designs. Product features include:
