Shazam 13.7 for Android released: New Widget lets you listen to songs on your desktop

The previous version of the widget was just a shortcut and users needed to open the app to listen to songs. In the latest version, users no longer need to jump inside the application, they can listen to songs directly on the desktop.

Users can launch the Listen and Learn feature with a click of a button in the new desktop widget, and once identified, the song, artist and album cover will be displayed on the widget, and you can quickly share it with your friends.

The new version of the Desktop Widget has a default size of 5×1 and supports dynamic color themes, but you can shrink it down to 1×1 as before, where it’s just a pulsating circle when active and displays artwork once it’s done. Also, you can have it span the entire screen. In contrast, Shazam’s iOS widget just shows “recently discovered” songs, while also allowing for deeper integration with Control Center.
