Sega and Sonic Team confirmed that the upcoming “Sonic: Superstar” will run at 60 frames on all versions of the game, including Nintendo Switch. The original text from development producer and character designer Naoto Oshima is as follows:
Thank you all for supporting Sonic and allowing me to participate in development again. Sonic Superstar will be released on a variety of platforms, so give it a try and you'll be able to play the game as fast as possible. Smooth 60 FPS, even on Nintendo Switch. I hope old fans will miss these characters and new players will be able to experience Sonic's speed.
Sonic: Superstar is now available for pre-order on the Steam platform. The standard version in China is priced at RMB 229 and the deluxe version is RMB 299. Pre-ordering the game will get you the special DLC “LEGO Dr. Eggman”, and the Deluxe Edition includes a series of LEGO-themed skins, as well as mechanical Sonic custom parts, a digital art set, an original soundtrack and other bonus content.
Sonic Superstar will be released on October 17th for PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One and PC (Steam/Epic Games Store).
The game requires at least an i5-2400 or AMD FX-8350 processor, a GTX 750 graphics card or an AMD Radeon HD 7790, and an i5-6600 or AMD R5 2600, GTX 1070 or AMD Radeon RX Vega 56 or higher is recommended.
