The screenshot exposed by blogger @NiuPillTech shows that the customer said he went to test drive the Ideal L9, and during the test driver’s demonstration of acceleration, he suddenly encountered three lanes into two lanes, and the test driver was unable to react and hit the guardrail for dozens of meters. The pictures show that the car’s left front bumper is broken, the front face is close to “disfigurement”, the accident scene is a mess, fortunately the ideal L9 LIDAR in the roof, if in the front bumper on the loss will be even greater.

The most outrageous thing is that although the customer was in the rain for 2 hours after the accident, the customer eventually ordered the car, but the store directly fired the sales. It is worth mentioning that this is already the second test drive accident before the delivery of the Ideal L9. Previously, when a customer test drove the L9, he said that a sharp brake caused the front air suspension to break. In response, RISO said that the accident was caused by the test car in Chongqing rushing through a pit with a depth of over 20 cm at 90 km/h, causing the cushion ring inside the air spring to break.

Specifically, because of the supply problem, some of the test cars of RISO used the cushion ring of the trial production stage. Although the prototype version met the safety standards, it would occasionally fail when encountering large impact conditions. RISO introduced that the strength of the actual production version of the buffer ring is 2.5 times that of the prototype version, so there will be no problem in the face of larger impacts. And after this incident, RISO officially upgraded the air spring warranty program of RISO L9 to 8 years or 160,000 kilometers, which is the same as the three electric systems.

The Ideal L9 was released on June 21, priced at 459,800 yuan, and will open user delivery by the end of August. The RISO L9 is equipped with intelligent air springs and CDC variable damping dampers as standard, with a double-wishbone front suspension and a five-link rear suspension.
