Officially, the Nytro 5350 is optimized for increased density and capacity in ultra-dense environments, with up to 15.36TB of capacity on 15mm platters and up to 7.68TB per 7mm platter, with dual ports to support both dual-active, high-availability U.2 and U.3 interfaces. The Nytro 5350 has an average time between failures of 2.5 million hours and one full disk write per day (DWPD).

The Nytro 5550 PCIe Gen4 NVMe is designed for mixed workloads with up to 470K IOPS random write speeds, up to 1,700K IOPS random read speeds, 2.5 million hours mean time between failures, up to 3 full disk writes per day (DWPD), and up to 12.80TB capacity on a 15mm platter, or 6.8TB per This means 6.40TB of capacity per 7mm platter.

Both the Seagate Thunderbolt (Nytro) 5350 and Seagate Thunderbolt (Nytro) 5550 NVMe solid state drives are available this month.
