Seagate today released an Exos X24 mechanical hard drive, with a capacity of 24TB.

The Exos X24 series features a 10-disk design with a capacity of 2.4 TB per disk, making it Seagate’s highest-density hard drive available today.
Designed for maximum storage capacity and rack space efficiency, the Exos X24 drive features a 3.5-inch form factor, 7,200 RPM spin speed, SATA and SAS interfaces, and enhanced caching that delivers up to 285 MB/s sustained data rate (SDR) with a 2.5 million hours between failures (MTBF) rating. In addition, it offers Seagate Secure encryption technology with Self-Encrypting Drives (SED), SED-FIPS, and Instant Secure Erase (ISE), and is backed by a 5-year limited warranty.
Seagate’s Exos X24 drives are now shipping to key customers, and volume production drives will be available for channel distribution in December.
