Samsung unveiled Premiere 8K UST (Ultra Short Throw) projector at CES 2023. The new projector is a more advanced version of Samsung’s Premier 4K UST projector, which was launched in 2020. Unlike traditional projectors, the ultra-short throw projector can display large images from a very close distance to the wall.
Samsung’s new The Premiere supports 8K resolution, and the company says it’s the first 8K projector to display images up to 150 inches diagonally. The projector has built-in Dolby Atmos speakers. Samsung equips its smart TVs with the same Tizen OS operating system, which means all smart features such as AirPlay, Alexa, Bixby, Google Assistant, Q-Symphony, SmartThings, Samsung Health, Gaming Hub games Center, Tap View, etc.
Samsung has yet to announce pricing and availability for the new Premiere projector. The audio and video products that Samsung announced during CES 2023 are expected to be available in the spring or summer. Premier 8K projectors are expected to be available in the second quarter of 2023.
Samsung Premiere 4K Projector 130 inches is priced at $6,499 (about 44,778 CNY). Considering that Premiere 8K is more advanced, the price will be higher. Other 8K projectors on the market start at about $11,000 (about 75,790 CNY).
