Reports say Samsung Electronics will unveil the TV at “First Look 2023,” a new product event to be held on January 3, 2023 (local time) as a pre-CES 2023 event.
Samsung first demonstrated the QD-OLED panel for its 77-inch TV in August this year, which is expected to integrate the best panel technology available and apply Samsung Electronics’ latest AI processing technology and content services such as Game Center.
Samsung will promote the TV’s black display and has filed a trademark for the name “True Black”, which is expected to be officially launched in North America and Europe starting as early as the first half of next year, according to the report.
Considering that Samsung Electronics previously launched its first OLED TV, 55-inch and 65-inch products have not held a separate public launch, the release of the 77-inch product can be interpreted as an expression of the will to actively target the market.
