According to Korean media Korea Daily, Samsung plans to hold the Real Summit 2023 event on September 12, and will launch its own version of generative AI.
Samsung will disclose information about generative AI to the public, media, and Samsung customers at the event, with many skills similar to ChatGPT.
The ChatGPT-like developed by Samsung is currently mainly serving internal employees, providing functions such as optimizing programming codes, writing emails, and recording document summaries to improve employee work efficiency.

Samsung’s own generative AI will not be open to the public at this stage, and is currently in beta testing. The media estimated that it will start testing functions such as optimizing programming code in October, and open the tool to employees in late 2023 or early 2024.
As for the name of the service, which the media speculates may be called “Simply Chat,” the company has filed a trademark application with the Korea Intellectual Property Information Service (KIPRIS) earlier this month.
